According to the high-ranking official, Ukrainian defenders actively advanced on the front lines, restoring 115 positions and consolidating their hold on strategic areas, while employing effective active defense tactics that help to hold back the forces of the Russian aggressor. Syrskyi noted that the main goal of these efforts is to stabilize the front line in areas most vulnerable to enemy attacks. This primarily concerns sectors in Sumy and Kursk regions, as well as areas around Pokrovske and Novopavlivka. A comprehensive set of measures is being implemented, utilizing modern tactical approaches to prevent further advances by the enemy and to establish control over the occupied positions. “Overall, in a month, we managed to restore 115 positions, which significantly improves the situation on the front line and boosts the confidence of our defenders,” emphasized Syrskyi. He added that Ukrainian troops are actively employing modern innovative means and tactics in their fight. In addition to battlefield successes, he reported significant achievements in the fight against the enemy using unmanned systems. According to data obtained through DeepStrike systems, 62 key targets on Russian Federation territory were destroyed in April. These include military facilities, logistical infrastructure, and military-industrial objects that are critically important for the enemy’s ability to conduct combat operations. Furthermore, Ukrainian command efforts are focused on scaling up units to brigade level with an enhanced component of drone systems, which allows for significantly increased operational effectiveness. Active recruitment and formation of prioritized assault battalions are underway, along with a transition to a corps-level command system that enables more coordinated troop actions and rapid response to battlefield changes. An important development is the greatly improved results in drone utilization. Syrskyi stated that in April, Ukrainian UAVs struck and destroyed over 83,000 enemy targets—an 8% increase compared to the previous month’s figures. This demonstrates growing effectiveness and improvements in reconnaissance and precision strike systems, significantly complicating the situation for Russian forces. In summary, the front-line successes in April show that Ukrainian defense is becoming increasingly organized, technological, and mobile with each month. Its capacity to resist the enemy and hold captured positions continues to grow, providing grounds for optimism regarding further stabilization of the regional situation and the imminent achievement of long-awaited victory.
