Russian troops have once again carried out mass shelling of Myrnohrad and Novoekonomiczne in Donetsk region, causing tragic consequences for civilians

According to official reports, at least two civilians were killed and one wounded in the region on Thursday as a result of the enemy attacks. In the early morning, around 00:30, Russian soldiers dropped three aerial bombs on Myrnohrad, including weapons of the "KAB-250" class equipped with the UMPK module. These powerful munitions caused destruction in the residential sector, including the destruction of a multi-storey residential building. Preliminary information indicates that one of the bombs hit a nine-story building where a fire broke out in an apartment, resulting in a tragedy for a 43-year-old woman. She was at home and sustained injuries that were incompatible with life; an iron-concrete slab collapse caused her death. Around 06:30 in the morning, militants opened fire on the settlement of Novoekonomične in the Pokrovsk district. As a result, a 51-year-old man was killed, and his 52-year-old wife received shrapnel wounds. The type of weapon used in the attack is currently being established by the investigation. The shelling caused significant damage — at least nine multi-storey buildings and several private houses were damaged. Military actions not only destroyed infrastructure but also claimed the lives of civilians, creating a humanitarian crisis in the region. Regarding crimes of war, investigative authorities have opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The Pokrovsk district prosecutor's office is coordinating the investigation to establish all circumstances of the crimes and hold those responsible accountable. Efforts are ongoing to bring the occupiers to justice for mass violations of international humanitarian law, their brutal attacks on civilians, and the destruction of peaceful communities.
