Military News of Ukraine: Nearly 200 combat engagements with the enemy recorded on the front line over the past day, including 85 in the Pokrovsk direction
Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian defenders registered almost 200 land-based contacts with Russian occupiers, including 85 in the Pokrovsk sector. The concentration of hostilities indicates high activity and tense situation across all key sectors of the front. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a total of 196 combat encounters with the adversary were recorded during the past day cycle, confirming the effective and persistent defense by Ukrainian troops. The occupiers employ various methods to strike our positions and settlements daily, continuously mixing tactics. In the past day, the enemy launched one missile strike using a single missile, as well as carried out a total of 92 airstrikes, dropping 139 guided bombs. Additionally, Russia conducted 5,900 shellings from various weapons, including 145 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used over 2,600 kamikaze drones to target Ukrainian military positions. This demonstrates their level of military activity and targeted efforts to destroy Ukrainian defenses. On the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces attempted twice to break through Ukrainian defensive lines near Vovchansk but were unsuccessful. Meanwhile, on the Kupiansk direction, six enemy attacks were recorded, trying to advance towards Petropavlivka, Glushkivka, Novoosynove, and Zahrizove, but Ukrainian units successfully repelled all these assaults. In the Lyman sector, the enemy showed significant activity — 36 shellings were recorded as they attempted to push into Ukrainian defenses near Novoserhiivka, Nadiya, Tverdohlibove, and Ridkodub, as well as in the directions of Novomykhailivka and Hrekivka. Ukrainian defenders prevented any breakthrough, repelling all enemy attacks. On the Siverskyi direction, Ukrainian forces successfully halted two enemy attempts to switch to an offensive near Verkhniokamianske. In the Kramatorsk sector, the occupation army launched six attacks in the areas of Bily Gora, Andriivka, and Chasiv Yar, but Ukrainian troops are maintaining a successful defense. On the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out ten attacks in the areas of Druzhba, Dachi, Diliivka, and Toretsk itself. Ukrainian defenders are effectively resisting these assaults and maintaining control over the defensive positions. The most active was the Pokrovsk sector — Ukrainian forces managed to stop 85 enemy assault actions in the areas of Storoi Mykolaivka, Kalynove, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Promin, Dachenke, Nadiyeve, Novooleksandrivka, Kotliarivka, Troitske, Bogdanivka, as well as in the directions of Zory, Malynivka, Myrolubivka, Hnativka, Oleksandropil, Pokrovske, Novoserhiivka, and Nova Poltavka. Another highly active area was the Novopavlivka sector, where the enemy launched 16 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynopil, Pryvilne, Vilne Pole, and in the directions of Odriadne, Shevchenkivka, and Bahatyri. Occupation forces also attempted to break through defenses at the Orehiv front, conducting five assaults near Stepove, Lobkove, and Kamianske, but were repelled. Additionally, in the Prydniprovska region, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled one enemy attack, destroying enemy cover and positions, as well as several targets of the adversary’s rear supply. Over the past day, more than 20 combat encounters occurred, during which Russians used 13 air strikes, dropping 16 guided bombs. Ukrainian defense specialists also carried out effective strike actions against nine enemy concentration areas, destroying a significant amount of weapons, military equipment, and enemy personnel. The operations resulted in the destruction of one air defense system, one artillery unit, and three command posts, significantly complicating the logistics and command of the occupying army. Overall, the situation at the front remains tense, but Ukrainian soldiers demonstrate resilience and the ability to oppose Russian aggression on all fronts, holding the line and preventing the enemy from gaining strategic advantage. Active operations continue in the Kursk region and other areas, which are crucial for Ukraine's overall defense strategy.
