Ukraine is preparing for temporary unusual weather phenomena: in the last days of April, night frosts are expected, while gradual warming will bring more favorable temperatures by the end of the week
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, on April 29, temperatures in most regions of the country will drop below zero, which may affect agricultural crops and vulnerable plants. Forecasts indicate that on Tuesday, frosts in the air from 0 to 3 degrees Celsius will be observed in the northern and eastern parts of the country. In the southern, western, and northern regions, air temperatures will remain slightly higher, ranging from 1 to 6 degrees Celsius. Surface frosts up to 0-5 degrees are expected, which are especially sensitive for plants beginning to wake up after winter hibernation. According to meteorologists, on April 29, Ukraine will experience no precipitation, aligning with a dry and cool weather pattern. However, on April 30, the situation will slightly change: short-term rains are forecasted during the night in the northeastern regions, and during the day, occasional brief showers may occur in the western and southwestern regions. Overall, the atmospheric conditions will considerably improve: during the holiday period, temperatures will rise to a comfortable 23 degrees Celsius. In Kyiv region, which was under the influence of cold fronts a few days ago, the situation will also change. Forecasts suggest that in the last week of April, there will be no precipitation, with moderate nighttime temperatures of 3-5 degrees Celsius. Daytime temperatures in the capital will become warmer — reaching up to +20°C. Winds blowing from the north-west at 5-10 m/s will add freshness to the air, but significant cooling is not expected again. Such temperature fluctuations are due to the transitional nature of climatic conditions at the end of April. Observing these changes, experts urge residents to consider these peculiarities, especially those engaged in agriculture and planting. Meanwhile, specialists emphasize that the warming expected at the end of the week will make the weather more suitable for tourist activities and outdoor recreation.
