The plans of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine include expanding the capabilities of the “Reserve+” application, which has already gained popularity among Ukrainians
Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization Kateryna Chernohorenko recently announced that in May of this year, two new types of deferrals will be introduced in the mobile app, significantly easing access to conscription for certain categories of citizens. According to the high-ranking official, Ukrainians will now be able to request deferrals for periods ranging from 6 to 12 months in cases of temporary incapacity for work, as well as for those whose spouse or children under 18 serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This issue has become especially relevant, as ensuring the country's mobilization readiness must take into account the individual life circumstances of each citizen. Kateryna Chernohorenko emphasized that "Reserve+" is already an important tool for the Ukrainian army and society: today, every third deferral in the country is obtained through this app. Currently, about 4 million Ukrainians are registered in it, which increases transparency and efficiency of the processes, as well as simplifies communication between draftees and the relevant authorities. According to the Ministry of Defense representative, these new features will contribute to a more flexible approach to mobilization, taking into account the personal circumstances of Ukrainians. This is an important step towards modernizing the mobilization system, making the process more humane and transparent, and easing the lives of thousands of citizens facing temporary difficulties. The expansion of the functional capabilities of the "Reserve+" application is evidence of the Ukrainian government’s strategic focus on modernization and digital transformation of the mobilization system, enabling more rapid and effective management of the country’s reserves in the challenging conditions of modern warfare.
