According to Ukrainian military and local authorities, over the past day, more than a dozen strikes were carried out across the Nikopol district using various types of weapons, including heavy artillery and FPV drone-type unmanned aerial vehicles, resulting in considerable destruction and civilian casualties. Head of the Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, reported that the enemy deliberately targeted populated areas in the district, including the city of Nikopol, as well as several nearby communities. "The Russians have hit Nikopol region more than a dozen times. They used different types of weapons, including artillery and FPV drones, which reached their targets in our district during the attacks," he stated in a media comment. According to him, during one of the series of attacks, a 59-year-old resident was injured, receiving minor wounds, and is currently feeling well. The man is undergoing outpatient treatment and is under medical supervision. The shelling has caused significant infrastructure damage — three private residences and farm buildings have been damaged, as well as a car wash and several enterprises. The transport infrastructure has also been affected: power lines and a gas pipeline were damaged, leading to partial power and gas supply disruptions in several settlements. Local services have already begun assessing the extent of the destruction and conducting repair and restoration work, but the situation remains tense. The recent attacks once again confirmed the high danger for peaceful residents, who risk their lives daily due to the aggressive actions of Russian troops. According to official representatives, the Ukrainian army continues to strengthen defenses and combat terrorist formations to secure the region from further attacks and maintain peace in local communities. Overall, the situation in the Nikopol district remains tense, and experts emphasize the need to enhance security measures and support civilians during these challenging times. Local authorities urge residents to follow safety protocols and stay vigilant, as the enemy continues to conduct active and targeted operations in the region.
