As a result of the night attack, the number of victims increased to 13, including a 45-year-old man who, unfortunately, died in the hospital due to severe burns. The tragic news was reported by the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, in his official Telegram channel. According to him, “shortly after the attack, a 45-year-old man, who was seriously injured in the explosion, died in the hospital.” This is yet another loss of human life during the Russia-Ukraine war, which once again highlights the scale of destruction and the mercilessness of the aggressor. It is known that this man's consciousness and heart left behind a minor daughter and a small grandson, only six years old. The blast wave destroyed their home beyond recognition, leaving the young family with nothing. Medical professionals are providing all necessary resuscitation measures, but they were unable to save the man's life. According to the Kyiv Military Administration, Russian forces, with their missiles, claimed the lives of 13 civilians in Kyiv during this night attack. This is yet another painful blow to the capital, which has long been under constant shelling and attacks. Specifically, in the Sviato-Shinsky district, 12 people died, and another 87 sustained injuries of varying severity. This attack is yet another bright indication that Kyiv remains in the crosshairs of Russian occupiers, who show no mercy to civilians or infrastructure. The background of this tragic event shows that on the night of April 23-24, the Ukrainian capital was subjected to a massive multi-component attack by Russian forces. Enemies' missiles and drones were again directed at residential neighborhoods, destroying houses, damaging critical infrastructure, and leaving hundreds of people homeless and without means of livelihood. In particular, many civilians in the Sviato-Shinsky district suffered from missile strikes, and preliminary data indicate the death toll has already reached 12. This tragic event once again emphasizes the complexity and danger faced by residents of Kyiv and all regions of Ukraine that remain in the combat zone. The Ministry of Defense and local authorities continue to strengthen air defense systems to protect homes and lives of Ukrainians to the fullest extent possible. However, the realities of war involve constant threats and a struggle for every day of peaceful life. Overall, the night from April 23 to 24 will remain in the memory of Kyiv residents as another unforgettable and painful example of Russian aggression. But Ukrainians maintain their strength and resilience, hoping for a swift end to this war and the restoration of destroyed cities and the lives of hundreds of victims.
