There are explosions again in Zhytomyr region: two police officers injured during a nighttime enemy attack

From the night of April 26 to 27, Zhytomyr region was again subjected to a missile shelling by Russian forces. According to official information released by the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, the enemy launched an attack on a community, causing significant destruction and human casualties. Overall, several residential buildings, some industrial facilities, and several vehicles were affected as a result of the attack. According to the Regional Military Administration, one civilian person was injured during the war and required immediate hospitalization at a local hospital, primarily experiencing acute stress reactions. Regarding law enforcement personnel, during the response to the aftermath of the second strike—when police officers were working to clear debris and prevent further damage—two officers of the National Police were wounded. Details about their condition are not available, but it is known that they sustained injuries from the second strike. As a result of the attack, at least 15 residential buildings were damaged, significantly impacting the housing sector. Industrial premises in the area were also affected, along with four vehicles hit by fragments. Fires broke out in open areas due to falling debris and collapsing structures, further complicating the situation and requiring firefighting responses. Overall, the situation in Zhytomyr region remains tense. The local residents are experiencing constant stress and fear due to regular missile attacks. Authorities urge residents to exercise caution and adhere to safety rules, as the enemy continues efforts to destroy infrastructure and create instability in the region.
