Russian occupiers launched another attack on Kherson: around 10 a

m., they shelled a residential area of the city using two guided aerial bombs—so-called KABs—which caused extensive damage. According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, as a result of this attack, the upper floors of a multi-storey residential block were seriously affected—entire sections of the building were destroyed, leading to the collapse of several apartments and creating a threat to residents. Eyewitnesses report that the impact site was very close to many residential buildings, with destruction concentrated in one of the high-rise buildings. Photos and videos from the scene confirm the severity of the consequences: the upper floors are completely destroyed. At least four people were injured in the attack, two of whom needed hospitalization due to wounds. Other residents live in fear and shock, as the shellings have become a regular and very real threat to them. Fortunately, the coordinated efforts of rescue teams included emergency medical crews and fire units. They immediately began evacuating residents, clearing debris, and providing first aid to those affected. People who lost their homes or suffered damage to their apartments miraculously survived, although their apartments have been unrecognizably transformed. According to official sources, several social and educational facilities were also affected: kindergartens, schools, and medical institutions were destroyed or heavily damaged. This is yet another blow to the city’s civilian infrastructure and another demonstration of Russia’s cynical tactics, which employ aviation for terror and intimidation of the civilian population. Experts explain that the use of KABs is a strategy of intimidation aimed not only at destroying residential zones but also at increasing fear and destabilizing the situation in the region. Meanwhile, Ukrainian military and rescue services continue to operate in difficult conditions, trying to minimize the consequences of such attacks. Residents of Kherson, who are often left without electricity, water, and heat due to infrastructure destruction, are eagerly awaiting stabilization of the situation and increased international efforts to end Russian aggression. City authorities promise to take all necessary measures to restore the housing stock and ensure residents’ safety, since each day’s new destruction reminds everyone of the high cost of this war for ordinary people. In this context, it is important to understand that the situation in Kherson remains tense, and occupying forces continue their cynical game, with civilians bearing the brunt. Local authorities call on residents to exercise maximum caution, avoid dangerous areas, and stay calm while investigative and repair work are ongoing. Citizens are also encouraged to actively support information efforts in order to draw international attention to this humanitarian catastrophe and to advocate for greater global assistance in fighting the aggressor.
