Russian military forces have once again launched a massive attack on Donetsk Oblast, this time carrying out another aerial bombing of the city of Kostiantynivka

According to initial reports, on the morning of April 27, the occupiers dropped at least two aerial bombs on the private sector of the city, resulting in tragic consequences for the local population. As a result of this attack, three civilians were killed, and four others were injured of varying severity. According to the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office and the regional military-administrative organization, during the night attack, several residential buildings were destroyed, and dozens of private vehicles were damaged. It is especially distressing that the strike hit precisely the residential sector, where residents were trying to start a peaceful new day but suddenly found themselves in danger. Reports indicate that the deceased include a married couple aged 47 and 48, as well as a 78-year-old pensioner. They suffered fatal injuries, which doctors confirmed were incompatible with life, with death being pronounced at the scene. Additionally, six other residents of the city were wounded in the attack—two women aged 67 and 73, and two men aged 77 and 83. They were hospitalized with various diagnoses: blast injuries, shrapnel wounds, and bruises. Medical professionals assess the condition of some of the victims as moderate, but their lives remain at risk. Rescue services have already arrived at the scene to assist the wounded and evacuate residents from the affected area. Authorities and relatives condemn this attack, emphasizing that civilians should not be targets in military conflicts. Approximately 21 private houses and several cars were damaged, adding to the tension faced by local residents who have been living under constant threat and anxiety for a long time. Ukrainian citizens and the international community continue to call for an end to hostilities, stressing that civilians should not suffer due to aggression. Only through joint efforts can this ruthless conflict be stopped, which causes human tragedies and destroys the lives of thousands in the region.
