Last night's drone attack by the aggressor became yet another tragic test for residents of Dnipropetrovsk region, particularly the city of Pavlograd and its outskirts. According to Serhii Lysak, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, the efforts of Ukrainian military to destroy enemy drones were partially successful; however, the consequences of the attack were no less tragic. Official information states that overnight, Russian drones struck Pavlograd, with approximately 13 drones reportedly destroyed. Despite the high professionalism of our defenders, serious consequences were also recorded. As a result of the attack, a man lost his life, and a 14-year-old girl was injured and is currently under careful medical supervision. This is a serious blow to the peaceful population, which has already fallen victim to artillery and airstrikes multiple times. The regional head added that two multi-story residential buildings were damaged, one of which caught fire as a result of the impact. This led to infrastructure destruction and created additional danger for local residents. Additionally, reports emerged of damage in the Verkhivka community, located within Pavlograd district. There, a drone strike damaged an agricultural enterprise, which was a devastating blow to the local agro-industrial complex—over five hundred heads of livestock were killed. Such a large-scale loss underscores the destructive nature of Russian missile and drone attacks, which damage not only physical infrastructure but also the region's economy. Furthermore, damage was recorded at two industrial facilities within the Mezhivska and Slavgorodska communities in the Synelnykove district. Buildings and garages were shattered, and private homes of local residents were affected. This once again confirms the scale of destruction caused by drone attacks—from simple private households to critical infrastructure. According to Serhii Lysak, even in Dnipro—the regional center—there were consequences. Windows were damaged in four high-rise buildings and several commercial facilities. At the same time, the enemy forces, maintaining the tense situation, launched another strike early in the morning—using the "Grad" rocket artillery system against Nikopol. As a result, eight private homes, several outbuildings, and a gas pipeline targeted in the attack were damaged. Despite such a large wave of destruction and human losses, Ukrainian defenders continue to keep the enemy at bay. The main thing, according to Lysak, is that human lives have been saved. The efforts of the military and local government authorities have allowed for minimizing even greater tragedies. News from the war and the destruction confirms that Ukrainian society continues to withstand the pressure of the aggressor, but the cost of this struggle remains high. Stay strong and support each other—victory will undoubtedly be on our side.
