Over twenty injured and five deaths: consequences of shelling in Donetsk and Kherson regions on April 26

The greatest suffering was recorded in Donetsk region, where Russian troops killed four civilians. Specifically, tragedies occurred in Kostiantynivka, where two people died from shrapnel and enemy shells, as well as in the settlements of Novoekonomichne and Zorya, where one local resident was killed in each. In addition to the fatalities, at least 17 people received injuries of varying severity in the region. Doctors report that seven of the wounded are residents of Kostiantynivka, with several others injured in Novoekonomichne, Nikanorivka, Zorya, and Siversk. The victims are mainly civilians caught in the fire of Russian missiles, which are heavily shelled. People report destruction of their homes, infrastructure damage, and extensive destruction of residential and social facilities. These shellings once again demonstrate the ruthless nature of Russian forces and their targeted tactics of intimidation and destruction of civilian populations. Ukrainian security and military services continue relentless efforts to prevent further mass violence and to identify those responsible for these crimes.
