According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, on Sunday, April 27, a strong decline in air temperature is expected across Ukraine, bringing cold and frosts, with daytime temperatures primarily hovering around 12 degrees Celsius. Meteorologists report that on this day, there will be no precipitation expected, except for light rains at night in Crimea and during the day in the eastern regions. Winds will predominantly blow from the north at speeds of 5-10 meters per second, adding to the chill. The temperature at night will range from 1 to 6 degrees Celsius. On the ground surface in most regions, frosts from zero to five degrees are recorded. In particular, in the western and northern parts of the country, frost will be from 0 to 3 degrees Celsius in the air, while in the southern and western regions — in the shade and during the day — temperatures will rise to 11-16 degrees Celsius. It is important to note that in Kyiv and Kyiv region, there will be no precipitation and overcast weather: nighttime temperatures will be around 1-3 degrees, and daytime — 10-12 degrees Celsius. Winds in these areas will also be from the north, with speeds of 5-10 m/s. Special attention should be paid to the condition of the soil, as frosts on the surface are expected, which could negatively impact agricultural crops and planting work. In the forecasted regions, a deficit of precipitation is anticipated, creating additional difficulties for farmers and gardeners engaged in early planting and cultivation of crops. Overall, this cold wave will be a test for many residents of the country, especially those who have already begun planting agricultural plants. Responsible services urge to follow safety measures, arrange protective covers for young plants, and take necessary steps to prevent damage from low temperatures. It is worth reminding that such weather is typical for this time of year, but its sudden and intense onset can cause significant problems and losses. Meteorologists warn that this cold front may last for several days, so it is important to stay alert and monitor updated forecasts. According to them, despite the cold, gradual warming and weather stabilization are possible from the following week. But for now, Ukrainians need to prepare for unexpected weather fluctuations and remember the importance of protecting themselves and their property from low temperatures.
