Last night, Russian forces once again intensified activity in the skies over Ukraine, launching a massive attack using over a hundred unmanned aerial vehicles of various types, including drone decoys, which complicates the identification and neutralization of enemy targets
According to the Air Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as of the morning of April 25th, during the night assault, 41 Shahed combat drones were shot down, while another 40 decoy drones successfully disappeared from radar screens and did not reach their targets. This indicates a high level of air defense and the Ukrainian military's capability to repel aerial threats. According to Ukrainian military sources, the attack was launched simultaneously from several directions, including from the areas of Russian cities such as Kursk, Bryansk, and Orel. This suggests a well-coordinated operation aimed at maximally complicating Ukraine's defenses and inflicting maximum damage on critical infrastructure. Several regions were affected by this attack, including Kharkiv, Sumy, Cherkasy, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts. Fortunately, most of the drones were destroyed or did not reach their targets, although widespread reports of destruction and damage to infrastructure continued to emerge. The occupiers continue to employ tactics of mass aerial strikes and drone launches to destabilize the situation in Ukraine and create additional difficulties for Ukrainian air defense. Ukrainian forces respond with vigorous air defense measures, involving aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare tools, and mobile fire groups that are actively working to destroy enemy drones and protect the population from potential consequences of these attacks. This nighttime broadcast of enemy drone assaults once again highlights the ongoing threat hovering over the country and underscores the importance of strengthening air defense systems. Ukraine remains alert and continues to take all possible measures to protect its territory and peaceful population from aggression by Russian invaders.
