Once again, tragedy has struck in Donetsk region — Russian occupiers have shelled populated areas, causing severe destruction and loss of life
According to the latest reports, three people have died as a result of missile strikes and shelling in the cities of Kostiantynivka and Sloviansk, including two adults and a 13-year-old girl. Several residents were also injured, and the devastation is of such a scale that no conscious citizen remains indifferent. According to the State Emergency Service on Telegram, the situation in Kostiantynivka has proven to be particularly brutal. The occupiers carried out a massive shelling of the city, resulting in two fatalities, including a teenager. Rescue workers at the scene extracted a 13-year-old girl from under the rubble; she sustained severe injuries but, unfortunately, later died in the hospital. Additionally, two other residents were wounded. The attack led to the disappearance of one residential building and the burning of an outdoor summer kitchen. Over 26 private houses and three vehicles were damaged. The destruction and damage to residential buildings are not only material losses but also the destruction of the living spaces for local residents who have long been forced to endure the hardships of war. Regarding Sloviansk, Russian rockets caused a fire in one private residential building. Preliminary data indicate the death of one person and another individual who was injured. At least 17 private households have been damaged, most of which suffered severe destruction. This again underscores that the enemy shows no mercy to civilians, attempting to intimidate and destroy everything around. Despite significant destruction and the risk of further attacks, firefighters and rescue teams continue their work. They remain constantly ready to provide assistance to those in need and to eliminate the consequences of the shelling. Representatives of the State Emergency Service emphasize that their work persists even under difficult conditions, as every minute is a chance to save lives and reduce human tragedies. This tragedy once again reminds us of the price of war paid by peaceful residents of Donetsk region. The enemy continues to deliberately destroy cities and shatter human lives, while Ukrainian rescuers and all who help bravely fight for every life in incredibly challenging conditions. This further proves that Ukrainians do not abandon their own — they stand guard over peace and security even in the most difficult times.
