The extensive work of clearing the ruins continues, and the search operations are bringing rescuers closer to saving those trapped under the debris with each passing minute. Special attention is being focused on finding two children, reports the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) in its official Telegram channel. According to rescuers, there are still people remaining under the debris, and the search operation is ongoing without pause. Specifically, hearing phone calls amidst the ruins indicates the presence of survivors among the wreckage. Their main priority is to ensure that all survivors receive necessary assistance and are rescued. The response to the disaster involves the best engineering teams, highly skilled climbers, and search and rescue dogs working in challenging conditions. At the same time, experts note that the search for the two children is the most prolonged and complex stage, as their whereabouts remain unknown. Source: SES, Telegram. As of 7:30 a.m. in Kyiv, it has been officially confirmed that nine people have died as a result of the Russian attack. The loss of life is significant, with over 70 individuals injured with various bodily harms. Moreover, the capital is reported to have been impacted at approximately 13 different locations, where there are reports of destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure. The background of this tragedy predominantly stems from a night attack that began on April 24 and became one of the series of large-scale Russian missile and aviation strikes on civilian infrastructure objects in Kyiv. According to established data, the air defense systems in Kyiv effectively intercepted most of the missiles and drones during the night. By morning, it was known that nine people had died and 63 were injured, including six children and a pregnant woman. Many residential buildings, businesses, and other facilities have been damaged — including several five-story buildings, shops, warehouses, public transport stops, and even several vehicles. Photos and videos published by the SES and local media confirm these damages. As a result of investigations and situation assessments, specialists report that Russian attacks during this period were aimed at destroying residential neighborhoods and critical infrastructure to increase panic and create difficulties for the peaceful population. Such actions indicate a targeted strategy to demolish and create maximum hardship to solidify occupation positions on Ukrainian territory. Currently, Ukrainian rescuers and responsible agencies continue their efforts to combat the aftermath of the bombings, making every effort to rescue Ukrainians from under the rubble and provide appropriate assistance to the victims. Particular focus is placed on searching for missing children, as every minute is crucial. Authorities and volunteers call on everyone to remain cautious and follow the recommendations of official sources, since the threat of further shelling remains high.
