According to the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA), as a result of a recent massive attack by Russian forces, which involved the use of ballistic missiles and kamikaze drones, damages have been recorded in residential and non-residential buildings across the city. On their official Telegram messenger page, KCMA Head Timur Tkachенко confirmed that Kyiv was struck, specifically targeting civilian infrastructure objects. Currently, he stated, there is no detailed information regarding the extent and specific consequences of the attack, and he called on the public to wait for official data and not to spread unverified information to prevent panic and disinformation. "There was an impact on civilian infrastructure. At the moment, no further details, and I urge everyone to stay calm and wait for official announcements. Do not publish unverified information and do not spread panic," Tkachенко quoted. The background to this incident is the large-scale attack on Kyiv during the night of April 24. In the city, missile defense system dispatchers detected signals indicating attempts to destroy enemy targets, and fragments of downed missiles scattered across several districts of the capital. In addition to infrastructure damage, fires broke out in some areas—vehicles burned, buildings, including non-residential premises, were destroyed. In one district, part of a building collapsed, trapping people under the rubble, which created additional tension in the situation. Overall, the nighttime attack once again demonstrated that Kyiv remains in a high-risk zone, and the enemy continues to focus on destroying civilian infrastructure and vital objects.
