In Kharkiv, three large-scale missile strikes took place, demonstrating once again the boldness and ruthlessness of Russian occupation forces, who have still not completely ceased their campaign of terror against the Ukrainian city

According to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, at the end of April, from the early hours of the night, the city was subjected to three waves of intense missile attacks carried out with various types of weapons — from “Iskander” missiles to “Geran-2” drones, as well as “X” type missiles. In total, eight people were wounded as a result of these attacks, including adults, while several residents suffered emotional shock from the terrified experiences. The prosecutor’s press service reported this, providing detailed information about the consequences of the nighttime shelling. The first strike, according to sources, was carried out around 1:10–1:30 a.m. The Russian armed forces used three “Iskander” cruise missiles for this, some of which damaged industrial facilities within the city. Near the Osnoviansky district, a missile—likely of the “X” type—struck near a residential area, causing the destruction of private houses and damaging residential buildings. Preliminary reports indicate that this attack caused significant damage to city enterprises. The second wave of missile strikes began around 3:00–3:30 a.m. The occupiers employed over ten “Geran-2” attack drones, which resulted in destruction at city enterprises. During this attack, an industrial site in Kharkiv was damaged, and some infrastructural facilities were shattered, significantly affecting both private and commercial sectors. The third, largest wave of missile strikes started around 5 a.m. At that time, missile use was recorded again — with a high likelihood of “X” type missiles. This attack destroyed a two-story property of one of the enterprises in the Slobidskyi district. Additionally, in the Nemyshlianskyi district, a missile hit a stadium on the premises of a school, causing substantial damage to the educational institution and nearby multi-apartment buildings. As a result of this destruction, two people were injured by glass fragments, and three residents were hospitalized due to acute stress reactions. Beyond the obvious destruction in Kharkiv, the Russian occupiers did not limit themselves to shelling the city alone. Damage was also reported near a restaurant complex in the Kyivskyi district. In the village of Bezliudivka, part of the Kharkiv district, over ten private houses were damaged during another missile attack, and a 14-year-old girl sustained a shrapnel wound caused by an explosion or fragments. According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the missiles used in this series of attacks were of the “X” type, indicating a systematic and deliberate plan of destruction. Preliminary information suggests that Kharkiv had previously been targeted by 14 drones and 10 missiles, causing serious damage to multiple infrastructure objects—including high-rise residential buildings, a hospital, a school, private homesteads, a hotel, and other structures. Amidst these destructions, data from the Ukrainian Air Force is telling: out of 215 missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles launched by Russia across the country, Ukrainian air defenses destroyed over half — 112 targets. This reflects the remarkable bravery and professionalism of Ukrainian defenders, who work tirelessly every minute to save civilian lives and destroy the enemy. Nevertheless, the strength and scale of these assaults remain significant, causing artificial fear, destruction, and continuous testing of human resilience. The situation remains tense, and each new attack reaffirms the enemy’s readiness for large-scale destructive actions against Ukrainian sovereignty and security.
