After the recent large-scale missile attack by Russia on Ukraine, world leaders once again reminded everyone of who is the true culprit of the destructive war that has been ongoing for over a year

A particular stance was expressed by French President Emmanuel Macron, who emphasized that the main target of the attack and aggression is Russia, and that the US anger should be specifically directed only at Vladimir Putin. On the eve of a massive missile strike on Ukrainian territories, the French leader issued a strong statement, urging the international community not to forget the real aggressor of the war. According to Macron, responsibility in this situation lies solely with one country — Russia, and it should be considered the source of aggression. He underlined that "the anger of the United States must be directed only at one person — the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin." Macron stressed that France’s position regarding the war remains unchanged. He stated that Paris is consistently committed to defending the principles of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, adhering to international law, and continuing to seek peace and stability on Ukrainian land. "We resolutely support the right of the Ukrainian people to live in their independent state and to defend their borders, which are recognized by the international community," the French president emphasized. However, Macron called on Vladimir Putin to stop spreading lies and creating illusions of peace, while in reality, Russian troops continue to shell Ukrainian cities, kill civilians, and destroy infrastructure. "He talks about wanting peace, but at the same time bombs and destroys people. If he really desires peace, he just needs to say 'yes' — and we will have a ceasefire." From the night of April 24 to 25, Ukraine was again under attack, with 215 missiles of various types and drones launched across its territory. The main strike targeted Kyiv, and the Ukrainian defense forces, promising to protect civilians, managed to shoot down over a hundred enemy targets. According to the latest data, Ukraine’s air defense system shot down 112 of the 215 missiles and drones, highlighting heightened tensions and preparations for new escalations. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiga, commenting on the night attack, emphasized that for the war to end, pressure should be applied specifically to Moscow, not Kyiv. He highlighted the importance of focusing efforts on the true initiator and main aggressor. Meanwhile, calls for diplomatic resolution of the conflict continue to resonate on the global political stage. Notably, former President and now one of the main critics of US policies, Donald Trump, has taken a prominent stance. After the nighttime attack, he issued a statement calling on Vladimir Putin to "stop" and cease the bloodshed in Ukraine. Amid such tension and ongoing attacks, Western leaders are still trying to find ways to stabilize the situation and reduce the level of bloodshed. However, the main conclusion remains clear — Moscow is the key culprit of the current war, and the entire world is calling for unity and decisive actions to defend Ukraine’s independence and restore peace on Ukrainian soil.
