The targeted site is a factory located in the Republic of Tatarstan, in the Yelabuga district, known for its high-tech manufacturing base and strategic importance to Russia's military industry. According to an official statement from the General Staff, on April 23, 2025, Ukrainian units involved in the use of unmanned systems, including drone kamikaze operators, carried out a targeted missile attack on the plant complex. This enterprise, situated in the "Alabuga" industrial zone, is the main producer of "Geran-2" and "Shahid" attack drones, as well as other UAV models. The plant's production capacity is approximately 300 drones per day, making it a key strategic object within Russia's drone manufacturing system. Military sources indicate that during the attack, Ukrainian forces successfully struck the factory premises, causing significant damage to the manufacturing workshops, including the final assembly shop for the drones. Reports confirm that explosions and fires broke out as a result of the strike, which are currently not fully contained. The extent of the damage and the results of the attack are being clarified, but it is already confirmed that the target was hit and partially destroyed. Readers are reminded that this strike is not an incidental action but a deliberate step by Ukrainian forces in response to Russia's armed aggression. The General Staff emphasizes that this factory was used to support Russian military operations in Ukraine, as well as to carry out terrorist attacks and intimidate civilians in our country. Earlier, on April 23, another notable military event took place in Yelabuga, Tatarstan — drones attacked a production complex specializing in the creation of kamikaze drones. It was previously reported that UAVs infiltrated the "Alabuga" economic zone, causing serious damage to the facility. This incident is part of a long chain of Ukrainian efforts aimed at destabilizing Russia’s military industry and increasing its costs and restrictions in mobilizing combat potential. Overall, confirmation of the strike on the UAV manufacturing plant in Tatarstan highlights increased Ukrainian efforts to reduce Russia’s capacity for large-scale offensive operations. This is a significant step in the country's strategic defense, demonstrating high mobility and the ability of Ukrainian units to operate not only on the battlefield but also deep in enemy territory.
