According to information published by the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, recent hours have again brought tension to the air situation: by the end of Wednesday, approximately at midnight, all air defense forces were engaged to neutralize enemy drones attempting to penetrate Kyiv's airspace. According to high-ranking military officials of the region, several unmanned aerial vehicles were detected in the airspace of Kyiv region, trying to illegally enter the city and nearby settlements. In response to these hostile actions, air defense weapons were brought to combat readiness, and measures are currently underway to neutralize them in order to prevent a possible strike as quickly as possible and to reduce the risk of damage and human casualties. As reported by the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, the situation remains under control of Ukrainian forces, who are employing modern air defense systems to attempt to shoot down all drones trying to attack the capital's infrastructure. Active operations are underway across the region to fight against enemy objects, aiming to minimize potential damage and ensure the safety of local residents. This nighttime attack once again underscores the increasing activity of Russian armed forces in the field of unmanned technology and their tactics of targeted incursions into Ukraine’s rear zones to create panic and destruction. Ukrainian defense units continue to strengthen their capabilities and utilize all available means to counter these threats in order to protect their citizens and maintain control over critical infrastructure and regional supply routes. Overall, these nighttime events highlight the urgent need to reinforce the air defense system in the capital and the region as a whole. Local authorities and the military call on residents to remain vigilant and follow safety recommendations during alerts, as Russian occupiers continue to use drones for terrorist attacks and sabotage activities. The reliability of air defense systems and the swift response of defenders remain key factors in preserving the integrity and safety of the capital and surrounding settlements.
