Multilateral diplomatic meetings are actively taking place in the British capital, focused on seeking a long-term peaceful resolution for Ukraine, which has been at the forefront of international attention for over a year due to years of Russian aggression. The dialogue involves top officials from several leading countries — the USA, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Ukraine — aiming to develop a joint action plan to end the war and restore stability in the region. According to information released by the "European Pravda" agency, citing sources from Sky News, these negotiations can be regarded as an unexpected and significant milestone in the diplomatic process. Initially, it was planned that the meeting would be formal — in the format of a summit of foreign ministers of five countries. However, in reality, high-ranking officials participating in the negotiations represent not only foreign ministries but also other sectors of government and diplomacy, making this process even more substantial and complex. The discussions involve the foreign ministers of the USA and the UK, as well as their Ukrainian counterparts — Foreign Minister Andriy Si Kyivha, representatives of the President of Ukraine, including the Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak, and Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov. Additionally, as part of the second package of negotiations, high-ranking officials from the UK, France, and Germany are actively discussing the situation with their colleagues in Kyiv through bi- and multilateral consultations. Special attention is drawn to the participation of British ministers — Foreign Secretary David LEMMY and Defense Secretary Ben Wallace. They have already held a series of bilateral talks with representatives of the Ukrainian government and also plan to meet separately with Kit Kellogg — the special envoy of former U.S. President Donald Trump for Ukraine. Kellogg is replacing Marco Rubio in these negotiations, who was earlier considered an important American diplomatic envoy. This indicates a high level of attention to Ukrainian-American relations and the preparation of a joint stance on potential conflict resolution mechanisms. The Ukrainian delegation for these diplomatic efforts is represented by key figures of Ukrainian diplomacy and security sectors. The delegation is headed by Foreign Minister Andriy Si Kyivha, with the participation of heads of various state structures, including the Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak and Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov. This broad representation underscores a high level of political and diplomatic interest in finding compromise solutions. Meanwhile, the Kremlin notes that negotiations in London have not yet yielded the desired results. Russian Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the level of consensus among participants remains low and that no agreement has yet been reached on several important issues — which has become the reason why the planned meeting of foreign ministers of five countries in its original format did not fully take place. According to him, questions regarding common steps remain open, and the search for compromises is ongoing. This diplomatic initiative in London is a significant gesture of international support for Ukraine and a demonstration of the global community’s desire to find a peaceful solution, avoid further escalation of the conflict, and delve into the complexities of the negotiation process, considering the diverse interests and positions of the participants. Despite difficulties and uncertainty, the prospects of multilateral negotiations remain open, as it is vital for Ukraine and its allies to find a comprehensive solution capable of laying the foundation for long-term stability and security in the region.
