This was announced as part of a new international support coalition, when the Danish government officially confirmed its contribution to providing Ukraine with modern artillery, which will substantially enhance its ability to counter the enemy. According to the Danish Ministry of Defense, the initiative includes organizing and implementing the supply through Estonia, which serves as a key logistical partner in this operation. It is expected that Estonian companies and military structures will conduct procurement of the necessary various calibers of ammunition, ensuring continuous and timely delivery to Ukrainian defenders. Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen emphasized the importance of this support during the announcement, stating that "It is very important that Denmark and our closest allies continue fighting to support Ukraine in its just struggle for freedom and independence." The minister also mentioned that during an upcoming meeting with Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pefkur, they would discuss further assistance to Ukraine, including mechanisms for procurement and logistical support. According to official representatives of the Ministry of Defense, Ukraine has an urgent need for constant and diverse supplies of artillery ammunition, which are crucial for maintaining the combat effectiveness of its armed forces. Considering this, the Danish side has decided to finance the procurement of the necessary types of ammunition via Estonia, which has experience in this field and is capable of executing the deliveries quickly and efficiently. "Assistance to Ukraine must meet the specific requests and needs of the Ukrainian people. It is important that Estonia continues to support our Ukrainian partners by providing the types of ammunition they need the most," Troels Lund Poulsen emphasized during an official statement. The agenda also includes discussions on enhancing the IT security of the Ukrainian people. Against the backdrop of military aggression, Ukraine needs not only weapons but also protection of its digital infrastructure. Defense ministers from both countries discussed prospects for cooperation in this area, particularly considering the efforts of the IT coalition, which includes NATO countries and other allies. Equally relevant is the global context of aid to Ukraine. Recently, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorious announced the fourth package of military support for Kyiv, which includes four modern IRIS-T air defense systems capable of significantly strengthening Ukraine's ability to withstand enemy air strikes. Additionally, Lithuania announced its intention to allocate 20 million euros to Ukraine for the purchase of additional ammunition and military equipment. This sends a clear signal of international solidarity, as several countries are uniting efforts to enhance Ukraine’s defense capabilities and accelerate its victory. All these steps demonstrate a unified goal – to support the Ukrainian people in their fight for independence, territorial integrity, and freedom, and to provide advantages in the decisive battle against Russian aggression. Overall, Denmark’s initiative further confirms that the international community is working tirelessly toward a common goal – to help Ukraine withstand this complex and prolonged struggle, supporting it not only through military aid but also through the development of cooperation in security, logistics, informatization, and humanitarian spheres.
