Russian troops have once again orchestrated a disturbing provocation in the Zaporizhzhia region, launching a missile strike on the city of Zaporizhzhia
As a result of the attack on April 22, at least two civilians were injured, and residential buildings and vehicles were damaged — one of the multi-story buildings suffered serious destruction. This information has been confirmed by official sources, including Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, who reported on the scale of the attack's consequences via Telegram. According to him, the Russian occupiers targeted one of the districts of the city with their missile attack, causing a fire and destruction in residential areas. "As a result of the enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia region, a fire broke out in one of the districts of Zaporizhzhia. Two people were injured," the official Telegram channel of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration quoted his words. Preliminary reports state that the injured are being swiftly transported to nearby medical facilities where they are receiving necessary assistance. Unfortunately, the aftermath of this attack was not limited to the destruction of residential buildings and injuries. During a briefing, Ivan Fedorov noted that there is a high level of threat of further brutal strikes and the use of guided aerial bombs (GABs) in the region. Such potential targets already cause anxiety and tension among local residents, who are forced to constantly await new provocations from Russian aggressors. A video from the scene, circulated by the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, vividly shows the extent of the destruction and the alarming situation that has developed in the city. People are seen holding up burning vehicles and damaged multi-story buildings, confirming that the war continues and that the peaceful life of Zaporizhzhia is under constant threat. Following the attack, law enforcement and emergency services are working on-site to eliminate the consequences and provide aid to those affected. Local authorities are urging residents to stay vigilant, follow safety recommendations, and remain calm, as the war is not over yet. The Russian aggressor continues to target civilians, attempting to sow fear and disrupt regional stability. Zaporizhzhia leadership continues to appeal to the international community, calling for increased pressure on Russia and the imposition of additional sanctions to stop this wave of destruction and human loss. Every new shelling is not only physical destruction but also an attempt to sow confusion and fear in the hearts of peaceful residents, who are fighting daily for their lives and Ukraine’s future.
