Russian military forces have once again launched massive strikes on Sumy region, causing significant panic and extensive destruction
Over the past day, the occupiers carried out more than 190 shellings of border territories, resulting in over 400 explosions. In one community, this tragedy culminated in a very sad event—the death of a civilian. According to information received from the regional military administration, the situation remains tense and causes considerable concern. A total of 410 explosions have been recorded across 16 communities in the region, including Sumy, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Bilozerka, Krasnopillia, Chupakhivka, Velyka Pysarivka, Putivl, Novoslobidske, Hluvikh, Shalyhyne, Esman, Svesk, Seredino-Budsk, Znub-Novhorodske, and Yampil. Specifically, Russian forces dropped 11 mines on the Esman community, indicating a targeted nature of the attacks. In addition to mortar shelling, artillery units and intensive dropping of VOGs from drones were used in the region—43 explosions were recorded in total. Equally alarming is the use of modern FPV drones, which are employed for attacking and destroying military targets and civilian assets. Unfortunately, human suffering has not been spared. As a result of the shelling, one civilian was killed during another attack, and a private residential house was damaged and now requires major repairs. This is yet another stark reminder of the destructive power of war and its impact on peaceful civilians. It is also important to emphasize that the two most affected communities are Krasnopillia and Yunakivka. In Krasnopillia, over 90 explosions were recorded in one day, creating a constant sense of danger for residents. Yunakivka experienced over 105 explosions, marking it as one of the most challenging periods in the war. This underscores the scale and deliberate nature of the targeted military actions by the Russian Federation aimed at discrediting and destroying the civilian population. Ukrainian authorities and the Ukrainian people continue to defend their land and refuse to panic. However, with each new wave of attacks, the scope of destruction and losses grows, once again highlighting the need for maximum unity of efforts to protect our homeland and restore peace in the region. Citizens should remain cautious, follow safety rules, and be ready for any scenario, as the adversary does not cease its aggressive actions. Ukraine remains steadfast in its fight, and each day urges us to be stronger and more united in the struggle for independence and the safety of every Ukrainian family.
