Large-scale Resistance and Unfortunate Consequences: Six Injured in Kupiansk Due to Russian Airstrikes and Drone Attacks
On April 22, Kupiansk, located in Kharkiv region, once again witnessed a series of devastating attacks by Russian troops, resulting in injuries to six civilians and extensive damage to the city. According to official data from the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the attacks were twofold — involving both airstrikes and drone operations. According to investigative reports, the first wave of attacks began around 10 a.m. Russian armed forces launched airstrikes on the city center, causing significant panic and destruction in the private sector. As a result, six residents were injured, with one person suffering a serious shrapnel wound. An 85-year-old woman was hospitalized for medical treatment. Additionally, injuries were reported among a 69-year-old man, while two women and one man experienced severe stress shock, highlighting the psychological toll of the ongoing situation in the city. In addition to the missile attack, another episode of terror occurred around 2:25 p.m., involving a hit on a private residential area using an FPV drone. A 75-year-old resident of the city was wounded in this attack. This further confirms the enemy's targeted tactics, aimed not only at infrastructure but also at civilians remaining in their homes during shelling. According to prosecutors, about 100 private houses in Kupiansk were affected, many of which sustained varying degrees of damage.
