The well-known military leader announced on his official Facebook page that Ukrainian soldiers actively oppose the enemy, who is trying to seize border territories, particularly in the Kursk region, as well as in eastern Ukraine, in the Sumy area. According to Syrskyi, enemy forces are constantly trying to push Ukrainian defenders out of the depths of the Kursk region and establish control over the border districts of Sumy region, aiming to secure a foothold in the region and create a corridor for further advancement. However, Ukrainian units prevented the aggressor from realizing their plans and once again stopped the attack, destroying their initial offensive intention. The Commander-in-Chief noted that he does not specify a particular date or details about the exact moment when the attack was thwarted. At the same time, he emphasizes that on the eve of Easter, Ukrainian military personnel held operational briefings and debriefings with commanders and staff leaders, which allows for more precise planning of future battles. During Syrskyi’s leadership, decisions were made to strengthen combat readiness, replenish military supplies—including ammunition and equipment—and implement the latest technologies to improve protection efficiency. The general highlighted that modern weaponry, including high-tech systems and robotic platforms, remotely operated modules, and artificial intelligence, are key tools in Ukraine’s fight against the superior enemy. The ability to quickly apply advanced technologies, build synergy, and implement innovative solutions will be the key to success in destroying the enemy, who has numerical superiority and is trying to expand their territories. The head of Ukrainian command expressed gratitude for the courage and professionalism of all Ukrainian soldiers who defend the country daily, fighting for its integrity. They demonstrate remarkable resilience, endurance, and a high level of training, which inspire confidence in victory. The background of this event traces back to early April, when in an interview with Lb.ua, General Syrskyi confirmed the actual start of the active phase of the Russian offensive in Sumy and Kharkiv regions, emphasizing that the entire situation is not a cause for panic but rather a signal to strengthen efforts and bolster defense. Official representatives of the General Staff also stressed that the enemy has increased efforts in these directions; however, the situation remains stable, and Ukrainian military personnel maintain control. Major Dmytro Likhovii noted that despite rising tensions and increased pressure from the aggressor, there has been no full breakthrough or unpredictable changes on the frontlines so far. Ukraine is holding steady and preparing for further resistance in its struggle for independence and territorial integrity.
