According to information released by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in their official Telegram channel, Ukrainian defenders successfully shot down 42 drones of different types during the attack, making a significant contribution to deterring the enemy’s advance and protecting critical infrastructure. Military sources confirmed the destruction of 42 Shahed combat drones trying to damage key regions of the country—in the east, north, south, and central areas. It is also reported that another 47 decoy drones were lost without significant impact on Ukrainian defenses, providing optimism regarding the ability of Ukrainian forces to resist the aggressor even in difficult conditions. The missile strikes were launched from the sea and occupied Ukrainian territories. The enemy targeted objects on Ukrainian territory by launching missiles from the airspace over the Black Sea area and from temporarily occupied Crimea. Attacks from Russian cities—Millerovo, Kursk, Bryansk—as well as from the Gvardeysk settlement on the peninsula, were especially active, raising serious concerns about escalation along Ukraine’s southwestern borders. Ukrainian air defense efforts during these hours were highly coordinated. Aviation units, anti-aircraft missile systems, electronic warfare (EW) systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defense forces worked together seamlessly to repel attacks and protect civilians and infrastructure. Military officials emphasize that these measures significantly reduce losses and help maintain control over Ukraine’s most precious territories. The ongoing Russian assaults indicate the high intensity of hostilities and the use of a wide range of weaponry to achieve strategic goals in the Donbas and other key directions. Ukrainian defenders continue to mobilize all available resources to oppose the occupiers, preventing further advances and inflicting substantial losses on the enemy. It is clear that the situation remains tense, and any new strikes require maximum mobilization of Ukrainian forces and means to safeguard peace and security on their land.
