In recent weeks, the security situation in Kherson region has once again worsened due to an escalation of attacks by Russian forces. According to the head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, the Kremlin occupiers have not only increased the number of shellings in the area but are also employing new tactics that complicate the situation for local residents and pose additional threats to humanitarian aid workers and rescue services. In his official statement on Telegram, Prokudin said that over the past week, shellings by occupying forces have become more frequent, and their tactics have grown more cynical and planned. "The Russians have changed their attack pattern: first, they deploy aircraft bombs, and then they cover the same area with artillery fire," he emphasized, highlighting that this strategy makes it more difficult to assess the situation and increases the danger for civilians. The head of the regional military administration also urged residents to be especially cautious and not to rush out of shelters immediately after the first explosions, as the situation remains unpredictable and potentially extremely dangerous even after loud detonations. He stressed the importance of staying in safe shelters for as long as possible to avoid the risk of injuries or even tragic consequences. At the same time, Prokudin emphasized the importance of information security. He called on residents not to publish photos and videos from the site of shellings or hits directly in the combat zone on social media. "Such materials can be used by the enemy to adjust fire, which in turn can lead to even more destructive strikes and tragedies," he noted. The regional leader warned that disseminating such information not only endangers the lives and health of local residents but also complicates the work of rescuers, medics, and other services, who are fighting daily to save lives and property. "You may unintentionally help the enemy by enhancing their ability to carry out pinpoint strikes on infrastructure objects and civilians. Therefore, we urge everyone to be responsible and cautious in how they report on the situation," Prokudin concluded. Overall, the situation in the region remains tense and unstable. Local authorities and security services are intensifying their measures to minimize risks and ensure the safety of citizens. However, the immediate danger stems from the tactics employed by the occupiers, and it is therefore critically important to be cautious and responsible in one’s actions and communications. Kherson region remains under constant attack, and every day for its residents is a fight for life and peace amidst war.
