In the south of Ukraine, in Bilozerka, Kherson region, another tragic incident has occurred as a result of Russian aggression
According to reports from local authorities and sources in the region, Russian occupiers carried out a cynical drone attack on civilians, which resulted in the death of one local resident and injuries to two others. As the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration stated in his Telegram message, the attack took place while women and men were walking along Bilozerka street. At the moment of dropping explosives onto civilians, unknown drones released explosive devices, leading to tragic consequences. Preliminary information indicates that a woman of senior age was killed instantly by shrapnel and the blast wave. Unfortunately, this horrific incident once again confirms the brutal nature of Russian military crimes in the region and their cynical use of unmanned aerial vehicles for domestic and civilian targets. In addition to the loss of life, emergency doctors transported a 47-year-old man to a medical facility. He suffered serious injuries — shrapnel wounds to his legs and a closed traumatic brain injury. His condition remains serious, and he is under constant medical supervision due to the wounds sustained, which are also a consequence of the recent shelling. This is not the first incident in the past day where civilians in the region have suffered due to Russian shelling. Earlier, after enemy fire and air strikes, several settlements, including Antonivka, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Vysunki, Ponyativka, Vysoke, Otradokamyanka, Shlyakhove, Zolota Balka, Burgunka, Mykilske, Chervonyi Mayak, and the district center Kherson, came under attack. As a result of these attacks, mainly civilians were affected, residential buildings and private shops were destroyed. Official data confirm that, over the past day, three civilians lost their lives due to Russian aggression, and three others were injured of varying severity. The goal of the enemy's attacks remains intimidating the population and destroying their everyday lives. Regional authorities urge residents to stay in safe locations and to react cautiously to any sirens. Meanwhile, Ukrainian military forces are making significant efforts to protect and stabilize the situation in the region, but the scale of destruction remains substantial. The Russian side, through its actions, confirms its unscrupulousness and willingness to use any means to achieve so-called military objectives, disregarding civilian lives. Evidence of this includes numerous cases of destruction of residential neighborhoods and public facilities, which exacerbates the humanitarian crisis in temporarily occupied and neighboring territories. Authorities and international organizations are working under difficult conditions to provide aid to those affected and to document all crimes committed by Russian military forces. While active fighting and shelling continue, residents of Bilozerka and neighboring settlements remain in a state of anxiety and uncertainty. The multiple attacks causing human losses and destruction once again highlight the need for increased international pressure on the aggressor country to cease hostilities and to implement a just international investigation into crimes against humanity.
