Russian occupiers have once again attacked Kherson region, utilizing a combined method of shelling, which led to tragic consequences for local residents

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the aftermath of this nighttime assault was extremely destructive and was accompanied by human casualties and damage to residential buildings and infrastructure. On April 19, in Stanislav, one of the district's areas, a man born in 1967 was killed as a result of a massive enemy shelling. According to representatives of the Military Administration, a shot or a series of shots caused destruction and tragically claimed the life of a local resident, who sustained fatal injuries. This is another example of how Russian troops deliberately destroy civilian infrastructure and create an atmosphere of fear among the population. In addition to the fatalities, at least four more Ukrainians were injured in the attack. Their health status is currently being clarified, but it is known that the injuries were serious and required medical assistance. Local medical and rescue services responded immediately to calls, attempting to help the victims, but the effects of the shelling exceeded the capabilities of emergency aid due to the scale of the destruction. According to the military administration, enemy forces deliberately shelled populated areas, destroying residents' lives and damaging residential buildings. As a result of missile and artillery strikes, at least four multi-story buildings and 19 private houses were completely or partially destroyed, leaving them without roofs and in urgent need of restoration support. Soviet occupiers also inflicted significant material damage to infrastructure: damaging gas pipelines supplying gas to towns and villages, destroying farm structures, garages, as well as private vehicles parked near residential buildings. These actions not only deepen the humanitarian crisis and cause mass displacement but also create additional risks to the region's stability. Local communities and military leaders are calling for maximum caution and are drawing the attention of the international community to the systematic terror organized by Russian occupiers in Kherson region. The situation remains tense, as the enemy continues active shelling, attempting to instill shameful fear among the population and undermine any signs of civilized life in the frontline territory. Ukrainian defenders emphasize that all efforts are aimed at protecting residents and restoring security. At the same time, the number of appeals to international institutions has increased, urging to intensify sanctions and provide aid in restoring damaged infrastructure in order to return normal life as quickly as possible in territories under Ukrainian control.
