The fight against instances of urban hooliganism continues in the capital: two more teenagers suspected of attacking a military personnel have been detained in Hydropark

On Saturday, April 19, Kyiv continues to address dangerous cases of public disturbance and violence. The second day after the incident in the popular city park Hydropark, police report the detention of two additional teenagers who are directly connected to the assault on a serviceman. Sources within the Kyiv police confirmed that, as a result of the investigation, law enforcement officers identified two more young Kyiv residents aged 15 and 17 who are likely involved in the scuffle and assault. In total, four individuals have already been detained as part of the investigation; however, the number of attackers involved in this violence remains unknown and is currently being clarified by the investigative authorities. The police emphasize that all actions have been recorded, and measures are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the event. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 296, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which prescribes liability for hooliganism. Under this article, the offender could face imprisonment for up to four years, with the possibility of stricter sanctions depending on the circumstances of the case. It is worth recalling that this incident received widespread publicity earlier. Previously, the detention of two 17-year-old young men was reported, who attacked a serviceman in Kyiv, disrupting public order, and received legal evaluation from relevant authorities. Law enforcement stressed that they would do everything possible to punish those responsible and prevent similar incidents in the future. The public actively responds to this incident, demanding increased security measures in public places and harsher reactions to manifestations of violence among minors. Local authorities and law enforcement officials assure that they will make every effort to ensure public order and restore calm in the popular parks for recreation.
