According to reports from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, starting from the early hours of the day, over 100 combat encounters took place in the east and south of the country. This significantly exceeds previous data, which as of 16:00 indicated 59 battles for the entire day. Details of these armed clashes remain partially unknown, as the report does not specify the situation after 18:00, when Russian troops allegedly announced a so-called "Easter ceasefire" or "truce." However, reports show that shelling continues relentlessly, and the enemy actively employs various military equipment. In the past day, the enemy launched at least 95 air strikes, using over 155 guided aerial bombs aimed at Ukrainian defensive positions and civilian infrastructure. There were also kamikaze drones: the occupiers launched 1,096 unmanned aerial vehicles targeting Ukrainian forces and civil infrastructure across all key directions. In total, Ukrainian military estimates indicate that more than 4,000 shellings occurred, including strikes with rocket launch systems, artillery, and aviation. In Kharkiv region, Russians twice attacked Ukrainian positions in the Vovchansk and Mala Shapkivka districts. In Kupiansk, the enemy conducted seven offensive actions toward Zahryzove, Kindrashivka, Nova Kruhliakivka, and Petropavlivka, attempting to break through Ukrainian defenses. In Luhansk region, 14 attacks were recorded near Novomykhailivka, Yampolivka, as well as in the areas of Torske, Hrekivka, Hlushchenkove, Olhivka, and Zelena Dolyna, confirming enemy activity in this strategically important area. In the Siversk direction, Russian troops launched two assaults on Ukrainian positions near Verkhnokamianske, but Ukrainian defenders managed to hold their ground. On the Kramatorsk sector, the situation remains tense: the enemy attempted seven attacks in the areas of Chasove Yar, Stupochnate, and Kurdiumivka, but Ukrainian servicemen also maintain defense. Similarly, active hostilities continued on the Toretsk direction, with 18 clashes reported in the areas of Toretsk, Dzerzhynsk, Dachi, and towards Diliivka. Defenders successfully repelled several attacks and maintained control of their positions. The fighting was also intense on the Pokrovsk direction: according to Ukrainian sources, the Russians launched 36 attacks in several settlements — Sukhа Balka, Tarasivka, Vodiane Druhe, Yelisavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Novooleksandrivka, among others. According to the Ministry of Defense, at least 165 occupiers were destroyed in this sector, including 91 permanently. Enemy attacks were accompanied by massive fire strikes on Ukrainian positions and civilian infrastructure. Ukrainian forces also managed to neutralize key enemy objects: three satellite communication terminals, ten vehicles and three motorcycles, two generators, and a drone command post were destroyed. One terminal and another enemy vehicle were damaged with the inflicted equipment. On southern directions, Ukrainian defenders also demonstrated resilience. On the Novopavlivsk direction, they repelled ten attacks in the areas of Pryvilne, Novosilka, and Kostiantynopil. The occupiers carried out airstrikes on several towns and villages: Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Zelenyi Pol, and Novodarivka. Additionally, on the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian forces repelled three attacks near Mala Tokmachka and close to Novoandriivka. Enemy aviation struck Lukyanivske, Pavlivka, Stepnohirsk, Kamianske, and Novoyakovlivka, but Ukrainian forces fiercely hold their defense. Along the Russia-Ukraine border, in Kursk region, the situation remains tense. According to the Ukrainian General Staff, our forces repelled 18 enemy attacks, including 15 airstrikes using 25 guided bombs. Russia also employed heavy artillery, conducting 328 shellings, including eight missile strikes using rocket artillery systems. This confirms rising tensions on the border and the ongoing struggle for control over key strategic points. Overall, the front remains difficult and dynamic. Ukrainian defenders demonstrate courage and determination in fighting the enemy, as each day presents a new challenge and opportunity to prevent enemy advances and protect the country from large-scale aggression. Meanwhile, the international community is closely monitoring developments and supporting Ukraine during this dangerous period in the fight for its independence and territorial integrity.
