Active air defense operations continue in Kyiv in response to the aggressive actions of Russian occupiers, who are using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to carry out terrorist attacks on the Ukrainian capital
This was reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration and the city’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, in an official statement. According to the official, Kyiv is currently engaged in targeted efforts to combat hostile UAVs, and the air defense system responds immediately to threats. "The air defense is working against enemy drones in the capital," he noted in his message. At the same time, the mayor urged residents not to ignore alarm signals and to stay in shelters until the potential threat has passed, in order to avoid unnecessary risks to their health and lives. It is important to highlight that in one of his messages, Vitali Klitschko emphasized the repeated use of UAVs by the enemy, noting that there is frequent activity by hostile aircraft in Kyiv. Specifically, he reported: "Air defense forces are operating against enemy UAVs on the left bank of the city." This indicates that the threat is not localized but widespread, affecting different districts of the city. According to reports, an air raid alarm was declared in Kyiv around 17:10. Local services urged residents to respond promptly to signals and not to leave shelters until the alarm is officially lifted. This information serves as another reminder of the escalating security situation in the capital amid Russian terror, which increasingly manifests through the use of UAVs for attacks and espionage. Ukrainian defenders once again demonstrate high coordination and rapid response to any threats, yet the situation remains difficult and tense. The city continues to operate in a heightened mode, actively involving air defense systems to protect civilians and infrastructure from new attacks. Local authorities and law enforcement emphasize the importance of utmost caution and responsibility during this period, as the enemy continues attempts to undermine stability in Kyiv. Overall, the security situation in the capital remains tense, and the fight against UAVs is one of the main priority tasks for Ukrainian defenders. Authorities call on residents to stay vigilant, adhere to safety rules, and remember that only coordinated mobilization and mutual assistance can ensure security during such a challenging time.
