In the French capital, Paris, three high-ranking Ukrainian officials took a significant step toward enhancing the country’s international support and security. The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga, and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov were spotted in Paris, where they have already begun establishing crucial negotiations with representatives of Western allies. This occurs in the context of Kyiv’s intensified diplomatic efforts to garner support in the fight against Russian aggression and to ensure security for Ukraine and Europe as a whole. According to official sources from Kyiv, Andriy Yermak, the head of the Presidential Office, reported via his Telegram channel that he has already made initial comments regarding the visit to Paris. He stated that together with Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, they arrived in France’s capital for a series of important bilateral and multilateral meetings with representatives of the so-called “Coalition of the Resolute.” This coalition comprises Western countries demonstrating their readiness and capacity to guarantee security and stability in the region. Yermak also noted that among the scheduled events are contacts with key partners such as France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. “Just landed in Paris. Together with Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, we are holding meetings with European colleagues and other partners who show their commitment and ability to make a significant contribution to the security situation,” he commented. On the agenda are also meetings with U.S. representatives currently in France on important diplomatic missions. Yermak emphasizes that these negotiations are extremely relevant given the escalation of the large-scale war and the increasing international pressure on the aggressor country. The aim is to develop joint approaches, discuss new cooperation formats, and deepen strategic partnerships to maintain peace and stability on the European continent. Diplomats indicate that the main goal of the visit is to develop coordinated actions in the areas of security and defense, as well as to reinforce political and humanitarian support for Ukraine on the international stage. Participants will discuss specific aid mechanisms, military support volumes, and potential new sanctions against Russia. Additionally, discussions on strategic stability and joint efforts to combat Russian propaganda and disinformation are also planned. When asked about the prospects for further steps, Yermak highlighted that all these measures are aimed at consolidating allies’ efforts and strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities. “We are working on critical issues for the security of our country and all of Europe. We hope for fruitful results from our visit and continued support from our partners,” he added. Thus, this visit by Ukrainian diplomats and military officials to Paris again underscores Kyiv’s serious intentions to strengthen diplomatic ties and promote its interests on the global stage during a difficult period in Ukraine’s history. The important negotiations and platforms in France open new opportunities for diplomaticadvancement of Ukraine’s strategic agenda and finding optimal solutions to ensure stability and security in the region.
