Russian occupiers have once again launched an attack on Ukrainian cities, striking one of the confectionery enterprises in Sumy
According to local authorities, as a result of this attack, one entrepreneur was killed; he had just arrived to purchase Easter breads, intending to buy festive products for his family and clients. The incident occurred early in the morning, around 5 a.m., when an enemy "Shahed" drone hit the production workshop. According to Mikhail Melnik, Head of the Sumy District State Administration, the attack specifically targeted a confectionery business that specializes in producing Easter breads. The strike caused significant damage to the production facilities, destroyed equipment, and resulted in considerable material losses. A particularly worrying fact is that among those injured was a company employee who sought medical assistance due to her injuries. Eyewitnesses report that the strikes by Russian drones have become the sixth attack on the region in the past month. Authorities emphasize that these targets were not military objects but civilian critical infrastructure facilities, which raises serious concerns about the enemy's tactics of aggression. As Mikhail Melnik stated in his official Facebook post, the situation is under control; however, the destruction of large and small enterprises and the loss of human lives cause deep pain and anxiety among residents. The responsible services are already working to establish all the circumstances of the tragedy, and local authorities are calling on residents to remain calm and follow safety rules. It is expected that this tragedy will increase the level of tension in the city, and authorities promise to do everything possible for the rapid evacuation and assistance to the injured. Meanwhile, measures to strengthen defense and increase control over critical infrastructure facilities are ongoing in the region to prevent further attacks. This again reminds everyone of the harsh reality of war and the need for unity and mutual support during these difficult times.
