Russian occupation forces delivered a serious blow to Kharkiv region: over seventeen civilians were injured, several residential buildings and vehicles were damaged in various settlements of the region as a result of night attacks on April 16

According to Oleg Synyehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, published on his Telegram channel, the situation remains tense, and the consequences of missile strikes and drone attacks are noticeable in several key settlements. More details: in the evening, around eight o'clock, Russian troops struck the village of Oskiil, part of the Izyum district. Preliminary reports indicate that a car was targeted, likely hit with an unknown type of weapon. As a result, ten local residents of different ages were wounded. Shortly thereafter, in the Bogodukhiv district — in the village of Tymofiivka — FPV-type drones dropped several (!), each causing damage to private homes and vehicles. According to witnesses, one building was destroyed, a garage was damaged, and nearby stood a passenger car. Later, closer to midnight, around 10 p.m., the occupiers carried out a new attack, this time in Pimonivka, a village belonging to the Izyum district. Reports indicate that a farm building of about 15 square meters was destroyed, and about eight cubic meters of firewood were burned. Additionally, residential buildings and several other farm structures were damaged during these bombings. Despite this severity, the most painful consequences were for the city of Izyum. Local sources report that the occupiers launched a missile strike, damaging at least six private houses, two farm buildings, and destroying a passenger vehicle. Among the victims are six civilians: a 36-year-old man, a 32-year-old woman, a 7-year-old child, a 55-year-old woman, a 25-year-old woman, and a 32-year-old man. Several other people of various ages were also injured in this attack. Another tragic aftermath of the Russian strikes was a large-scale fire in Izyum. Preliminary data indicate that three private houses burned over an area of more than 600 square meters during the night drone attack using “Shahed” drones. Several farm facilities were damaged, and among the injured is a 66-year-old woman. Rescue services responded to the fire, but the damage was significant, and the destruction widespread. Overall, over 17 people of different ages were affected during the night attacks, including children and adults. They sustained various degrees of injuries, were evacuated, and received medical assistance. Local authorities and security agencies continue working to eliminate the consequences and clarify the details of the incidents. Russian military forces have once again confirmed their ability to continue terrorizing the peaceful population of Kharkiv region, destroying homes, annihilating property, and endangering thousands of lives. Authorities urge residents to stay in shelters and follow safety rules during these tense days.
