Morning snippets of traumatic news: in Dnipro, extensive destruction recorded as a result of a missile attack
Early in the morning, residents of Dnipro were hit by a wave of alarming news about a new missile attack by Russian forces. According to official information provided by the head of the regional military administration, Serhii Lysak, via Telegram, the enemy strike caused damage to several infrastructure facilities and private buildings, indicating yet another bold act of aggression by the occupiers on the territory of Dnipropetrovsk region. According to Lysak's report, not only commercial and administrative buildings were affected in Dnipro, but also local infrastructure and residential objects. Specifically, a hotel—one of the key centers for accommodation and service of visitors—was damaged in the city, as well as a fitness center and a small office complex located in the heart of the event. “In the early hours, explosions erupted, leaving buildings battered by the blast. Large fires broke out in the city, which firefighters responded to promptly. On a positive note, no civilians were injured,” emphasized Lysak. Additionally, it should be noted that in the Pidhorodne district, dry grass fires and the destruction of several private houses and greenhouses were recorded. Experts and local witnesses confirmed that the fires were quickly extinguished, and residents of the settlement remained unharmed and did not sustain serious injuries. In the Novoleksandrivka community, force was redirected towards economic objects—an outbuilding and property were burned. Regarding other districts of the region, the situation remains tense. According to Serhii Lysak, the Nikopol community was attacked using kamikaze drones and rocket salvo systems "Grad." The enemy missile strikes caused damage to a multi-storey building, a private house, vehicles, power lines, and gas pipelines. Fortunately, no civilian casualties or injuries have been reported. The war also affected the Synelnykove district: in the Slovianske community, the enemy set fire to an unused, dilapidated building and also damaged several vehicles. Additionally, there were destructions reported at educational institutions—the lyceum and a kindergarten—as well as over thirty private houses and several cars. “Losing a few buildings and vehicles—these damages are typical for current fighting,” added Serhii Lysak. Overall, the situation in the region remains tense, but Ukrainian defenders continue the fight, ensuring safety and mitigating the consequences of enemy strikes. The missile attack served as a stark reminder of the need to strengthen air defense and support peaceful residents who are daily under attack.
