According to weather forecasts, April 19th in the western provinces of Ukraine will be characterized by thunderstorms and heavy rains, accompanied by a significant increase in danger levels — a level I warning has been issued, yellow code. This means possible disruptions in road traffic, unpredictable weather phenomena, and a risk of flooding in low-lying areas. According to Interfax-Ukraine sources, moving away from dry forecasts, the Ukrhydrometcenter reports that during the night of April 19th, a sharp deterioration in weather is expected in Zakarpattia and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, with thunderstorms. During the day, the situation will worsen across western areas as the storms hit the region, with a high probability that heavy rain and thunderstorms will cause transportation disruptions, emergencies, and possible traffic jams caused by snow. Meteorologists, based on official sources, warn that across the western regions — Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, and Zakarpattia — intense showers, hail, and gusts of wind may occur throughout the day. The warnings from the Ukrhydrometcenter urge residents to exercise caution and monitor updates, as sudden weather fluctuations may cause unpredictable impacts on transportation, housing, and social sectors. Meanwhile, in the central and eastern regions of the country, predominantly dry and warm weather is expected, with cloud cover and clearing periods. Winds there will mainly come from the southeast at speeds of 7-12 meters per second. Temperatures at night will range around 7-12°C, and daytime highs will be between 19-24°C, creating favorable conditions for outdoor recreation and active leisure. Much warmer conditions than in the western regions will be observed on the coastlines of the seas, where water and air temperatures will rise to 15-20°C. In the evening, particularly in Kyiv, variable cloudiness without precipitation will indicate weather stabilization in the capital. Wind speeds are forecasted to decrease to 7-12 m/s, with temperatures fluctuating between 10-12°C at night and 20-22°C during the day, providing comfortable conditions for residents and tourists. Thus, the weekend in Ukraine will be marked by contrast: in the west — natural phenomena and high danger levels, while the rest of the country will enjoy mostly clear and warm weather with gentle breezes. Meteorologists emphasize vigilance and preparation for possible weather disasters, especially in western regions where heavy rains and thunderstorms are expected. Emergency services and road infrastructure are already preparing to address the consequences of sudden natural events, and residents are advised to stay alert and, if possible, avoid traveling during storms and heavy rain. Although these adverse weather conditions complicate daily life, proper awareness and preparation can help minimize risks and ensure the safety of all inhabitants of the country.
